We believe buying or selling a used car shouldn't be a gamble. Our mission is to use a radically transparent approach to give sellers a higher return and buyers total peace of mind. We're an open book, and this is exactly how we work.

Step 1: The Initial Appraisal & Certification Prep

When you consign your vehicle to us, we begin with a comprehensive appraisal to determine its true market value. We'll show you the clear price differences between a low trade-in offer, a wholesale auction, and what you can earn from a retail sale.

From there, we identify any obvious repairs needed to make your car a top-tier candidate for our certification. We'll examine everything from mechanical problems to tire tread and cosmetic damage.

Step 2: The Open Auto Certified Inspection

This is where our radical transparency comes into play. We will take your vehicle to a certified mechanic to perform our rigorous "Open Auto Certified" inspection. We then create a detailed video, showing you and potential buyers every aspect of the car-including any flaws-so everyone knows exactly what they're getting. This leaves no room for dishonesty and eliminates any chance of the "typical dealer experience."

Important: If a vehicle is deemed unsafe or has issues that could be a problem for a buyer, we will recommend fixing the issue. If you do not wish to fix it, your vehicle and your upfront fee will be returned to you.

Step 3: Professional Reconditioning & Marketing

Once certified, your car receives a full professional reconditioning treatment to ensure it stands out.

  • Professional Detailing: Your vehicle will be professionally detailed by our trusted partners (such as J and B Express Detailing, CB Detailing, and others).
  • High-Resolution Photography: We will take professional photos to showcase your vehicle in its best light.
  • Expert Marketing: We professionally market your vehicle on leading automotive platforms and to our network of buyers.

Step 4: The Sale & Closing the Deal

We handle all inquiries, vet potential buyers, and present you with all offers and terms. We will counter or accept on your behalf based on our agreed-upon minimum price, ensuring you get the best possible return.

To make the deal as easy as possible, we also offer:

  • Transparent Financing: We can facilitate auto loans from our network of lenders, with a clear and honest 0.8% interest markup on deals.
  • Warranties & Protection: We offer extended warranties and other protection products, allowing the buyer to drive away with confidence.
  • All Paperwork: We take care of all the legal and DMV paperwork, making the process seamless.

Where We Make Our Money (Total Transparency)

To build a sustainable business and provide this level of service, we have to be profitable. We are an open book about how we make our money.

  • Upfront Fee: The non-refundable flat fee of $980 covers the cost of our professional services: appraisal, detailing, inspection, photos, marketing, and sales facilitation.
  • Profit on Services: We make a standard profit on key add-on services, such as facilitating loans, selling extended warranties, and installing high-end ceramic coatings. Because we have discounted rates for labor and parts, we can perform any needed repairs at a competitive price and still be profitable.
  • Buyer Fee: A fee of $300 is paid by the buyer at the time of the sale, which goes toward covering our administrative costs and ensuring a secure, professional transaction.

Our Story

October 2024, Jack helped his great detailing client, Mr. Cathie, sell his car. From this transaction, an idea and business were born. There was a serious way for a young car detailer to help people get more value for their money.

Although detailing can get you a better return on a trade-in, PCAP knows it is never the fair amount. So Jack set out to form what is known today as PCAP Motors. The "PCAP" stands for Ploszay Capital, which is a future project. Jack felt it was catchy and went with it.

PCAP then set out to help people sell their cars for retail.
